Great product, but instructions not as good.
This is a great product. Once you have it constructed, installation only takes a few minutes each time you use it. For me at least, some of the instructions/illustrations were a bit hard to understand, but I was able to figure it out. Again, once the initial construction (install wall and floor brackets; set pole height, etc.), setting up the brace is quick and easy. Easy Install If...
I ordered a set of two for my two-car garage door. They were shipped with all of the parts, including drill bit and tap-i-con screws, required for a complete installation. The instructions were ok, but some of the photos were close-ups that didn't help because the photos were too zoomed in. I was able to look at photos online to see how parts fit together. A drawing showing the final assembly would be very helpful. The biggest 'if' is that a hammer drill is a must if you are installing in concrete/ concrete block. Belt and Suspenders
Living in FL means living with the high probability that a hurricane will strike. Even though our garage door has horizontal reinforcement I am a belt and suspender kind of guy, and when I saw these they became the suspenders. Relatively easy to install (about an hour for the first one, thirty five minutes for the second) with a hammer driver with very clear, concise instructions.
