Too early to tell, look promising

It's too early to judge their efficacy, particularly as summer has arrived late in the UK, but going by the other reviews, they look promising, and are certainly very sticky (!) Due to the neglect and disgusting hygiene of the previous delinquent tenants, there is already substantial moth damage on the untreated wool carpets, fortunately most of it hidden under furniture. Despite shampooing the carpets last summer, which I'd recommend to anyone with an infestation, and using pheromone traps with great success, I'm now detecting renewed activity with a few adult moths flying around. Eventually, all the carpets will have to be replaced but until then, I bought these to avoid further damage by bringing new infestations under control.

  • Most critical review

Probably fine , but packaging could be improved.

You can't smell the pheromone so the only way to know if it's working is to find captured moths. If there are none caught, it could just be that you have none, or the sticky strip (which is very sticky) isn't attracting the moths. You really do need a triangular holder for the strip to keep unwanted things (like the clothes you are protecting) from sticking to it. Unless you are using all 10 strips at once it would be an improvement if the packet was resealable. Even with a protective film there must be some evaporation of the pheromone in the 2 - 3 months before you replace the old strip. Take care in opening a new strip. It is so sticky that you need to peel off the protective layer slowly and handle it delicately or you'll discover what a moth feels like when it gets caught.

  • Good number of clothes moths caught

I put up five traps in 4 rooms two weeks ago and caught between 2 and 7 moths. They were about a metre off the ground selotaped to backs of cupboards where they don't show or stick to passing humans! Similar traps seem to work for several months, but there are more moths in the warm summer, so it's difficult to compare. I think to control the moths on wool carpets, one has to somewhat de-clutter the house to simplify vaccum-cleaning carpet edges.

  • MOTH KILLER

This seems to have had a good cumulative effect on the number of moths around this summer. An awful lot got caught early on, which I presume has affected the amount of eggs being laid and therefore next season's hatching. I therefore intend to have sticky pads ready to use for early next spring, as soon as I see the first ones appearing.

  • Works well

The traps are for catching moths only as they stick to the sticky surface and die. If you have moths in the house ( carpet or clothes), don’t wait, call specialist to get rid of larvas and eggs and use these traps to catch the flying ones. Recommend !

  • Works on Common Clothes Moth Males

These traps are full 40-50 moths in each every three months and I have 10. These are only the males though so I'm in trouble! I have had a company in to spray my carpets but they are back. We live in the countryside and by woodland so they are bound to be around. These traps catch the males who can't get enough of the pheromones. The females lay the eggs so I get those with room sprays . Funnily enough my clothes are never attacked. I have traps in my wardrobes and they catch nothing. It's the carpets they love. I have them placed under sofas and beds. It's the only one that works for me. This company identified the correct pheromones for the Moth for me and I now buy them regularly. It's an ongoing battle.

  • Great ally in the battle with clothes moths

We have had a problem all through this Spring and Summer with the appearance of the occasional clothes moth, but with no idea where they had come from. We sprayed the carpets and everywhere else we could think of, and put hanging moth killer sachets in all the wardrobes, yet still the odd one appeared in the room! We bought the trap holders at the same time and they trapped a few males which were attracted by the scent. They were only effective for 3 months and had not trapped any moths for a while so we ordered a pack of fresh refills from Entopest and set up a couple of traps in the bedroom, not really expecting any further activity this late in the year. How wrong were we! The very next morning there were two takers and a further one the next night in one of the traps. When will it all end? At least we know these excellent moth pads are working well and on our side! Thanks Entopest.

  • Good addition to other measures.

Trapped a few moths. I kill about the same amount on my daily round. Difficult to tell what %-age are trapped, and if the ones sitting on walls nearby are lured out to their visible positions by the traps. But as they do trap some it is well worth using them as passive addition to other measures, such as hermetic bags and boxes for wool, etc.

  • Death To Moths

These are a very effective way of keeping the dreaded moths at bay. Great product.

  • Does what it says but you dont need it

I mean it attracts moths, but it's not going to attract all the moths or get rid of them, bett to buy a single one and some spray, use the spray on your room and then put down the single trap to make sure you got them all.
