It does the job!
I tried different brands in the past and they weren't as strong/ bad taste as this one and after washing hands you would have to apply again to be effective. With Mavala you definitely won't be able to bite your nails as it tastes extremely bad! And the taste stays for a couple of days even after numerous hand washings. Our little thumb sucker said she wanted to stop as she started losing her baby teeth (she is 5 3/4 years old). She’s been sucking her thumb in utero (when she was in my tummy)! I am not sure how to rate it. It wasn't appropriate for my daughter as it was too strong for her- she was sick after putting finger into her mouth and could taste it when eating finger food. Does what you expect!
Used on my 7 yr old son for whom I haven't cut his nails for at least 6 months. Painted this on and told him it would taste horrible if he continues to nibble his nails. Seems to have done the trick. The best nail biting remedy! It doesn’t taste horrible if you put hand to mouth briefly by accident or when you are eating etc but only when you bite do you get the disgusting taste so you don’t get used to it easy, it’s more like a nail varnish the other brands are water based so you get the taste every time so in the end you don’t care as you always have that taste anyway so they have never worked for me. No more thumb sucking
Stopped my 4 year old from sucking her thumb within 1 day. Asked at lunch time if she wanted some nail varnish on then said nothing more.
