Fantastic product with a great 12 year in house warranty
The 1100XL is the best disposal. The last one I bought in 95, the pro 77 I think, which was a predecessor to this, lasted 24 years and still worked but became noisy so I replaced it. Quiet and exactly what we needed

Quiet power
Aside from the usual installation difficulties of replacing the sink collar (that metal ring is not easy to attach!) and working against gravity, the machine is impressive. Great Product, Competitive price
Very, and I mean VERY QUIET when in use. Install was simple. Used a bottle jack. This product could probably pulverize rocks! Though, I wouldn't recommend trying it. Strong, VERY quiet, and has almost everything needed to install
Exact drop-in replacement for most of the higher end inSinkerator units, apparently. Mine old one was from 1994 and this 25-year newer model slipped right in... with one exception: It did NOT include the plug/cover/strain-relief clamp for the power wire, and the one from the old unit was a completely different style which would not work with the new unit. Stores were closed so we put it together without the clamp for the time being. For another dollar of cost, I think the clamp should be included. Even if they bump the price to account for it, it should be included. so quiet I almsot forgot that we had it istalled and it works flawlessly.
It was very easy to install, a bit on the heavy side but well worth the effort. It is so quiet that I really can't tell when it is in use unless you are standing at the sink. Is this thing on?
The reduction of sound, from our previous disposal, is unbelievable. It makes almost no noise and yet breaks things up extremely efficiently. Just keep in mind it’s a little on the heavier side. Supreme Trash Disposal!
We replaced our working Badger unit with one of these 1hp beauties from Insinkerator. Not only is this a powerful unit, it is incredibly smooth and quiet. Everything goes down easily, and you would barely know that it was on. Our Badger was a mere 1/2 hp, nad sounded like a jackhammer going through concrete. What a pleasure to have this one in it's place. One other thing that bears mentioning: The entire unit is completely rubber mounted. That removes all vibration when it's working. Probably not a big deal in most applications, but if your sink is stainless steel it has a tendency to work like the horn of a brass instrument (trumpet, tuba, etc.) and amplify all the vibration sound. Not so with this unit. It's truly amazing. Well worth the money, easy to install, and actually attractive.
