It's a chain......what can you say !!
This is a five star product.........it's brilliant at making the rear wheel of my velocipede rotate. Having said that it sometimes does not go round as fast as i would like it to. That could be down to age......no not the chains age but mine. It cuts a dashing figure as it skips along the road, in all it's silvery glory, at a Garmin checked, bone shaking pace of 10 MPH+. But as it is an eleven speed chain and we probably we won't have time to cultivate a warm and loving relationship, as pensioners legs are far too strong and soon it will have gone to the length more fitting a "Goodies" size tandem. To add product pictures would be a complete waste of time, they would be well blurred, as would be the feet and the lungs. Sound and reliable.
There are a bewildering array of chains all of which provide the same purpose. This one comes boxed, split and with the quick link for easy assembly. The quick link is very reliable! The factory grease is gererously supplied and will pick up sand - but don't degrease the chain as it is inside the rollers doing its task well.It will fit 11 speed road and MTB drive trains including ebikes and probably work on 10 speed but never on 12 speed. I've been converted to KMC in terms of price and endurance. Mine are on my MTB and will last about 2000 miles in the woods on a SRAM GX gear set and Shimano on my other bike - and I use the chain tool to assess wear. I've used a cheaper brand with half that endurance and branded chains to no advantage. The silver and black chain is an aesthetic issue; cheaper is the KMC Grey and there is a lightweight hollow pin version too. This one gets five stars from me - a very experienced MTB rider - not all of the other branded chains would get that score. In the future, whilst I'll not always buy the silver / black I'll certainly maintain my loyalty to KMC.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good KMC chain
I needed a new chain for a 36T cassette and replaced like with like. KMC have a good reputation. I needed the chain link tool to separate and connect the kwik link. Does the job its supposed to
