Great lock
The Schlage Sense is a great electronic lock. Easy to install (except the 3" screws that hold the strike plate takes a bit of energy, but they add to the security of the lock). Even easier to manage the access to the lock with iPhone. I would suggest following the recommendation of the lock(s) being within 40 ft. of Apple TV or you may not get a connection on your iPhone. The lock works without iPhone, the phone is not necessary, but very convenient for managing lock(s) and checking on them if necessary when you are away from home. I have 3 of them in home, no more keys! And no keys for someone who has to watch your house when you are away. Secure quality device but has limitations
This is a high quality lock and is very secure. As a stand alone device using just the Schlage Sense app it is great, easy to setup and access, keeps a log of all entry/exits and attempts. I guess the main complaint is with apple HomeKit - there are several things lacking with this. 1 - It does not log anything. If you want to see history you have to go to each devices independent app to check it. 2. It send you notifications but they are not retained in the notification log on your devices and there is no way to go back to look at them. 3. Good quality deadbolt
The deadbolt is typical Schlage...solid quality & affordable. The only gripe is how loud the motor/mechanism is when it's working.
