  • Sturdy, however may not fit all coil springs

I have read lots of reviews about quality of some of the Spring Compressors and I was a bit worried when purchasing this one. However once I opened the package I was happy that the product looked as solid as in the pictures. Unfortunately I was not able to change the springs on my car as the bit with the hook was slightly to big to fit in the small gap on the last coil ring, so I had to grab more of the middle of the coil spring which wasn't enough to compress the spring enough to take it off. If I would have a third screw I would be able to pull off the job. Anyway I was impress with the sturdiness of the tool

  • Good quality

Bought these to do a shock change on a 2000 Honda Civic. Had heard all the horror stories of compressors sliding off so was a bit nervous and it was my first time doing a job like this. They worked perfectly. Used an impact to tighten them down otherwise I would of been there all day. Great tool, heavy duty and the locking pins give you an extra piece of mind. The storage box they come in is handy as well.

  • Great quality and easy to use

Came with a nice sturdy case and the clamps are of good quality and weight, fit securely and easy to use even on the chunkier than average Merc springs!

  • Neilson coil spring compressors.

Excellent quality, safe and easy product to use comes in a handy storage blow molded case. Best I've used. Recommended.

  • Great spring compressor

Compressed the springs on my Boxster with no problem at all and felt very safe because of the locking pins which do not allow the spring compressor to slip off the springs. I used an impact gun to quickly compress the springs with little effort. All in all this is a great product for the price

  • Good Tool for the Money .

I used this kit to change the front shock on my BMW 525i E61 . It worked a treat . There is plenty of info on using it available .... make sure it is oiled , use an impact wrench etc. The pins made it feel very secure and safe .

  • Bmw e46

After working out that I can use a 1/2" rachet and extension bar to wind up spring compressors, rather than a spanner. Compressing springs was a lot quicker.
