Frees up usb ports on computer where a direct link may be advisable
The price is good. I bought two, one for my wife's desktop and one for my laptop. My wife can now run a small cooling fan, a small led light to see the printer on the bottom shelf of the computer bench and a domed led touch light on the bench top. It's fit for purpose, however has a large issue
The device works when plugged in to the PC with or without power. In order to power spinning harddrives or other power hungry devices this needs to be plugged in, however will comfortably serve mouse, keyboard, printer, game controller etc without power. The issue is that when powered and plugged to the USB port of the computer it is backfeeding 5v DC IN to the USB, which is against USB spec. For most PCs this /should/ not be an issue however Laptops, specifically apple macs may die because of this. I feel like it is mislabelled, it is a powered USB hub for devices yes (chargers for example) OR it is a unpowered USB hub / extender for PCs, not both. At least I would not use it that way. tl:dr Don't use the power adapter when plugging it in to a PC.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Almost perfect except for the short leads supplied. The usb lead is about 1/2 meter and the power lead not a lot longer so siting the unit is problematic. An itsy bitsy teeny weeny extra bit of cable would have made it so much more flexible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Almost Perfect
when the only bad thing you can think to say is damn that blue light is bright. you know your on to a winner. it replaced the 3 plug to USB adapters. as now my phone, Alexa and fit bit can charge from one plug. did I mention it's tiny....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Avoid This Product At All Cost
This product is dangerous - one week after purchase it overheated and suffered a total failure. Fried my USB stick into the bargain. It also put a hole in the side of the hub (see photo) and rendered it useless For the sake of your own safety avoid this product at all cost - your life could depend on it
