A step up to replace my old tiering Makita drill & driver, (my son delighted and impressed with the old freebie!)
Does everything that you would expect from top of range product. My previous brushed Makita drill would beat other Joiners Drills in childish shoot outs; this one is even more powerful, however at a greater weight. Compared to my existing driver, the impact tool is more compact with settings to give greater control over screwing force. A step up from previous driver, although that one never gave any concerns. The large 5Ah battery lasts for ages, the down side it takes longer to charge. Having 2 batteries ensures you are never without power The box does not lend itself to storing loose drills etc. like some of the other drill boxes, however stackes well and carries OK.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Qualoty comes at a price
I work in aerospace and need an impact driver that's fast, high torque and won't let me down after an hour. The drill is for the house. The driver has kept up no problems at all and has had chance to show off its full torque at home driving large diameter 7 inch hex head screws into timber no problem. The drill has only been used with wood and is impressive so far. It's alit of money but the quality speaks for itself. I did buy a Milwaukee set previous to this and although the impact drivers are just as impressive the drills are poor quality. Sent back a 401 and a 502 as the spindles weren't straight (or bearings we're out of alignment). Single 4ah battery lasts days when putting together bedroom unit. Drill has hammer function which make light work of making large holes in stone. It takes some time to get used to the power of both of the units! I haven't found a job yet that the drill can't handle on the second gear and more than once have I ripped the thread when I used the impact driver. Great battery life and fast charger.
