Excellent repair part
This is an excellent replacement for the original Renault heater resistor pack in non-climate control models of the Scénic II and Grand Scénic. It appears to be of good quality and is re-engineered to prevent the recurrence of the original problems caused by overheating. It took me a while to fit, requiring removal of the instrument panel and surround, the radio and dashboard centre panel, and the glovebox. I used solder and heatshrink tubing to fit the new plug to ensure good connections - the new wiring doesn't match the colours used in the original loom, so make sure to do them one at a time so you can match them up with the positions in the plug. The upshot of all this is that my heater fan now works on all four settings, whereas before it only worked on settings 1 and 3, so I'm very happy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Loom harness
Connector positioning did not match original. However it was easy to remove the connectors by popping out the front retaining clip and installing 4 of the old originals which were fine into the new connector. I used the double power wires to replace the two burnt out feeds. All works fine now.

Does the job.
It would be nice to come with some sort of wiring diagram as the wire colours on this one are nothing like the old one and swapping wires one for one is no good as the new one has certain wires joined together and the old one doesn't. Seems to need improved heater resistor pack
Installed one with old resistor pack but highest fan speed contact still burns, so will try installing a new one with a new resistor pack to ensure clean contacts both sides. Looks as if it should work well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job
Arrived well packaged, fitting it was a bit fiddly but that is down to car manufacturer and not the product. The plug that fits in to the heater blower assembly was not as good as the original and was quite tight to fit in but overall it cured the problem of no heater. You really need to replace the plug, so this was the best option.
Its not always the resistor that's at fault. I've found that in most cases its the plug that has overheated and burnt the connections. Unfortunately when this happens it means the resistor is destroyed and the plug. Having the complete kit means you can quickly and easily repair, back to factory specifications. I would recommend that the wire connections are soldered and shrink wrapped, as this power supply gets very hot. Great value for the kit. Resistor good quality, loom was shoddy.
The resistor was good quality and well made.The loom however was poor quality and all the wires needed to be reconnected by my auto electrician. He had to fiddle about became the wires had fallen out when I opened the package. He did manage though and it did mend my Renault heater.
