Our old LiftMaster garage door opener gave up the ghost and our home warranty replaced it with the absolute cheapest opener that Chamberlain makes, with literally ZERO features and only a single remote control - even though it's for a two-car garage AND it was replacing a unit that had three openers as well as a remote keypad. Needless to say, we were forced to purchase some additional remote controls for the new opener, since (of course) the old LiftMaster remotes are incompatible with the new Chamberlain opener.

Product looks nice, advertised well. But the instructions are absolutely worthless. The voltage in the directions say 230V. There is no obvious place to hook up a ground wire except by the antenna. Comes with two remotes and no batteries. The size of the battery is smaller than A23 12v , and the size is not indicated anywhere in the literature or on the remote device. The programming is not easy to follow. There is no phone number to call, just the internet that later asked for pictures. The concept is fantastic but the instructions kill it. I bought the first and it would not work ordered a second and the lights on the board won't come on.

First, I'll give you a negitive, then the good stuff. The instructions leave much to desired, especially when it comes to the remote and the four buttons. Also, the door on the unit locked in the open position, and we still have not figuered how to close it. Ofcourse there no such thing as customer suport. Now what i like. 1- installation is relatively easy, if using an iron gate. If using a chainlink type you have to fabricate some parts to install 2- make sure your base (concrete floor) set before continuing. 3- just follow instructions from this point and in 1 to 2 hours you will have sliding gate. 4- FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION FOR THE STOPPER TO THE LETTER OF THE LAW. If you don't, when setting up and the magnetic limit switch is not set properly, (the motor is VERY POWERFUL) the gate will take a 3 inch pipe and bend it in half. The motor will not turn off. Now think of what would happen if it closed on a person!! Need i say more. Note: Follow the instructions and and it's a simple install.Read full review

This unit works great. The instructions in the book are exceptionally vague. Advice: align all the parts to get an idea of how it goes. place the chain on gate to get an idea of where to install the machine. Temporally power the unit and program the remotes, then activate and play with the sensor magnets to find the sweet spot on the flat sensor and mark with a pen, measuring from base of the unit (pictured). Also determine how long you want the gate to stay open and play with the 3 switches "DIN" blue switch. If it opens seconds after it closes then there is a black reverse switch: however, you muse reverse the magnet switches as shown in the picture. Once you figure all this out then install. Hope this will help.

The remote works fine ONCE it was programmed correctly. It also comes with online instructions for programming for a number of garage door openers. The problem with programming the remote, in my case, was the programming instructions on the "opener" is different than the instructions for the remote and the online instructions were lacking in detail. I had to pay $60 for someone to come out and program "all" my remotes because I inadvertently cancelled all and any programming codes.

I had three teenagers start driving in December we only have two garage door openers and the only one of the kids vehicles has a remote feature in the rear view mirror. A couple of these worked perfectly. Simple process, easy instructions. Completed two remote set ups in less than ten minutes. Highly recommend!

Cannot complain. Got what I needed and didn't spend a fortune. Thanks -- it is a little complicated to program but heck of a lot cheaper than upgrading to a new system! I even got the garage keypad too, so my opener may be from 1978 or whatever, but I'm still living in 2020. It was just an open box, not "used"
