Hilary Mantel is a fantastic story teller and is able to set the scene for this period of history. It is exciting, humorous at times and generally a good read which guarantees the reader with many hours of a good read.

The final act in the drama of Thomas Cromwell's life. A good read, although lengthy. Mantel does thorough research ... as good as any historian ... so you can be sure you are getting an accurate picture of events as well as all the drama you would expect from a great novelist. I reread the first two and finished with the third ... a mammoth task but well worth it to be immersed in the story ...

This third volume of Hilary Mantel's trilogy is just as compelling as the others, though at 880 pages and 4 lb in weight it is impossibly heavy to read in bed. I only wish she'd written it as two thinner books. However, it is written in such a way that you feel you are actually there with Cromwell and the other characters.

The last of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall trilogy , over 800 pages, each one fascinating. Stayed up far too late as I couldn't bear to stop reading. Brilliant. Thomas Seymour has a new fan.

Having watched the Wolf Hall DVD with the incredible Mark Rylance I bought Hilary Mantel's trilolgy of books which added so much more to the rich tapestry of the sg.tories. The books are well written and are 'unputdownable'. Superb writing. Superb books and well worth having won the Booker prize. She should have won it for all three books.
