Good for hardwoods - I used it on oak. Drys very quickly. If you sand the oak too fine eg 240 grit it doesn't asorb so well. Any attempt at a second coat lifts the first coat - but this can be a help to eliminate overlaps. I found it best to put it on with a wide, fine and soft brush and then rub back a little once dry to bring out the grain. Takes varnish well.
