One of Ray Bradbury's best novels put to film.
"By the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes." Jason Robards portrays a town's librarian who as a young father was unable to save his son from drowning - his son's best friend's dad did. The 2 boys are inseparable and get drawn in by a rare Fall carnival run by Professor Dark, who ensnares prominent members of the town as well as the 2 boys. Can the librarian save his son, his son's best friend and the town from the sinister Professor Dark? Perfect Halloween kid (and adult kids) scary/creepy without the blood guts and gore.
I could vaguely remember this movie from my childhood, yet I knew it was kid "scary" - after watching it, gave me a whole new appreciation for it. It is a great pairing with Watcher in the Woods too. Something wicked this way comes (cometh)

I am 44 years old. When I was in middle school I read Something Wicked This Way Comes and loved it. The Disney Film adaptation does not disappoint. It is family friendly but has the same air of sinister creepiness as the book.
