One of the best Christmas music CD's
This album is enchanting. Every year, it's one of the first albums I listen to during Advent. Mouskouri sings traditional German Christmas carols with simple accompaniment. This is a soothing album with an implicit message of the peace of Christmas My parents are from Switzerland, so I grew up with German language Christmas songs in addition to English language songs. I am also fluent in German, but even non-German speaking people could enjoy these songs. Although Nana Mouskouri is not a native German speaker, her diction is excellent and singing is sublime. The album has new cover art that does not show Mouskouri, but the songs are the same.
