Lightweight with disappointing features
It is noisier than the fan I`ve been using thusfar. I would suggest that is related to the use of expanded wire mesh to construct the fan enclosure rather than the traditional welded wire grille causing extra turbulence. In defence of the manufacturer, until a decibel rating is mandatory, they have no benchmark by which to market their product, only subjective judgement. Also, the thumbturn knob by which you would set the angle at which the fan operates has been value engineered out, replaced by a ball and spring mechanism. This would possibly have been acceptable if the spring used was not soooo feeble that the fan head will only stay at the angle set if you set it gently and dont f#rt or sneeze or speak loudly anywhere near the fan. This will p#ss me off every time I use it.
