It is worthy of a five star rating so I certainly would recommend it, is very good value for money and good quality provided it is used with care.
Because it slices quite deeply, I recommend it is not used on the softer skinned vegetables such as carrots, parsnips and potatoes but is absolutely brilliant for peeling the harder skinned vegetables such as butternut and pumpkin.

I have one of these peelers for quite a few years and recently mislaid it for a few days. I was delighted to find another on Ebay just like it and do you know it was difficult to tell the old one and new one apart. There was no sign of wear . The black carbon blade peels far better than the stainless blades. Really pleased with it.
