Sanding pad plates almost inevitably wear out and need to be replaced from time to time. These items are Bosch original and competitively priced. Prompt despatch.(NB: DeWalt virtually identical pads for their D26430 Sander are £28.99 including P@P EACH following a link from the DeWalt website - so these Bosch pads are great value.)

Generally product is very good. The head for the sander is useless and the sanding pad just slides off after a few minutes. I sent it back to Bosch who just sent it back saying it was fine despite the head still not holding the sanding discs. The least they could have done was replace the head and pads as I have 5 which are only partly worn but wont stay on the head. Having said all that the problem may have been partly my fault. In very small print and in technical speak I think it suggests that you should not use the sanding function on full speed which I did. Making this plain or telling me this when they sent it back might have been helpful. I am a DIYer and so have not used it much for other things but it seems powerful and well made and cut through some nails, some metal brackets and did some basic soft scraping with no problem at at all. Fits OK and holds the pads well. The plate has a higher profile than the original so the sander no longer fits in the case as the plate obstructs the supports. Had to cut out plastic from the carry case to get the sander in without crushing/damaging the plate when the lid is closed.
