Lovely looking hydrometer does the job
I don’t know why people moan and groan about these type of hydrometers.. I have the exact one works fine for me.. I think it’s the nicest looking one out of all swing arm hydrometers Leave it in or out the aquarium... occasionally soak it in distilled vinegar just to get rid of dry salt residues etc I always hear people complaining about bubbles giving incorrect reading. Almost crashed my whole tank using this
Had to invest in a refractometer because the reading I got off this told me I had way too much salt in my tank, after doing a huge water change with half a Jerry can of RO water, I’ve lost my two beautiful clown fish and it’s not looking good for the rest of the tank. SUPER ACCURATE WAY TO TEST YOUR SALINITY ON MARINE AQUARIUM
I have a refractometer already but was looking for a second opinion to be sure my salinity was correct. so o went for a hydrometer, I was a bit dubious about this hydrometers, so I avoided the cheapest ones and instead choose this one, made by this well known good brand. I took the hydrometer out of the packet and rinsed it on tap water, then I submerged it my aquarium, then took it out, put it on top of my table and there it was the white pendulum marking the salinity as expected. Simple. Strong build and nice looking design and fairly priced, I am very happy to made this purchase and hope this review help somebody, looking for a good hydrometer that mark the salinity of the aquarium without a problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Absolutely useless
Decided to buy one of these, just for ease of use. Placed it in my newly filled salt water tank and the gage reading shot all the way up. Strange as the saltwater I brought should of read 1.025 . Not accurate
Swing meter doesn't really work in terms of accuracy. When compare the refractormeter, the values are different. Ie Refractormeter reads 1.0025 , swing reads 1.0027.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
