Good range and easy to clean
Both palettes come off for washing under the tap so it's easy to keep reasonably clean. One problem is that the cakes of paint and/or their plastic pans can fall out; nothing holds them in. I use Blue-tack to hold pans in and a drop of Gum Arabic under any loose cakes. The pans are supposed to be of Cotman range paints which are excellent these days, but if you run out you cannot generally buy Cotman range full pans to replace them; you have to buy Artists range for pan replacements or tubes to refill and top-up. The range of colours is general purpose and you may want favourite colours which are not here. And you won't get enough brushes for serious work in the brush tray. Nonetheless this is my most used paint and palette set.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Impossiblt to open without a knife to force it open.
I can't open it. i have to slide a knife at the edge and prize it open. The pallets easily fall off. The paints fall out if tipped slightly. The paints themselves are good. I would buy them again and use my professional ones plus these as as backiup.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Sturdy Product
A great product just as ordered and needed. It is well made - better than others I have ordered. I have no hesitation in recommending this product. In particular, I would commend the box. It is sturdy and not twisted in any way so that it sits firmly on a table without rocking. It comprises the palette of 24 pansand two flaps open up which can be used for mixing. The surfaces are polished which means thay can be easily cleaned. The lid clips into place and is decorated, on the outside, with a gold coloured "Winsor & Newton logo. Wow..This Windsor/Newton watercolour set is amazing! The set is made of nice sturdy white plastic with a full length dropdown mixing tray. Each block of pigment is rich and deep with color with even just a little water! The paints express tone and hue without loss of body. Perfect! My set arrived early.
