Maple syrup flavor for a cat?
I suspect that this is a good, effective supplement for potassium in cats. My vet recommended it and said to just squirt it on a finger and wipe on the roof of the cats mouth so he had to swallow it. For some reason, the manufacturer made this smell (and I assume taste) like maple syrup. Sammi foams at the mouth and drools after I give it to him. Why not make it taste like something cats like...fish, or liver, or chicken, or even shrimp or beef? None of the other cats will lick my finger after I've dosed him, so none of the other cats like maple syrup either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent product
I have to give this to my cat twice a day as he has stage 4 renal failure and, although it smells like maple syrup (bizarre for a cats medicine) it is excellent stuff and does a great job at stopping him from becoming anaemic which kidney cats usually are. He won't eat it on its own, but when squirted into a spoonful of food he has no problem.
