Comprehensive book on Stubbs
Written with an understanding of the painter & his equine pictures. Many glossy presentations of his work, artistic struggle with the mainstream of his time, his association with nobility, stories about horse racing practices of the 1700's & a great catalogue of detail. Also a section on his 'Anatomy of a horse.' publication, so no need to buy twice! If you are interested in Stubbs art, it is a good all rounder.
