Fray stop glue
This product is very useful to have in your sewing kit as it can get you out of a difficult situation. It does, however, leave a visible residue on fine fabrics e.g silk, so needs to be used with care.

Not the real thing.
This is basically white wood glue and not the proper Fray Check at all which is like thin Bostick which is clear on application, waterproof and flexible and dries in a few minutes. This takes a long time to dry, would dissolve in water if something was washed and only dries clear. Sure, it does what it says on the bottle but it's pretending to be something it isn't.

You don't need a lot
It's easy to apply and you don't need to put too much on and it seems to be working fine. I used it on some net curtains to stop them fraying after i cut them.

New non fray hem on a skirt
Did the job I wanted of shortening a skirt by running a bead of Fray Stop on the hem where I planned to shorten to, then cutting along the middle of the bead with scissors - result a hem without a turnup, took time but a nice neat job who h will never fray.

Must have in your sewing basket!
This stuff is the bomb and worth every penny! Use it for many tasks, such as: to hold tricky seams together so they don't slip while sewing, attaching appliques, stop fraying fabric edges, or just added insurance to reinforce seams. This is my second bottle and I wouldn't be without it now!
