Ideal beginner rod but can cope with mostly anything great value would recommend to others

Bison Beachcasting Rod
I bought this to demonstrate how you don’t need to spend a lot to get started fishing from the beach or pier. A nice easyparabolic action making it easy to cast with. I would say it will comfortably cast 150 grams and lob 175 grams. It is NOT a long distance casting rod but will cast about 125 yards with ease. Great for most beach and pier situations but not for heavy rock fishingThe only thing missing is reflective tape or paint on the tip. If you are a beginner on a tight budget I would say this is a good starter rod. Brilliant value
Used a few times now, as a fishing novice, and really can't fault it. Fantastic piece of kit, for the money, and would definitely recommend to beginners or those on a budget. Absolutely no issues with casting (I've been using a 160g breakaway) and achieving around 80/90m and has been tested a couple of times with heavy loads (unfortunately mainly just seaweed or snagging) and copes really well.
