Recorded after his two year stint in the US Army posted in Germany, Elvis was keen to show he still had plenty to offer. At 25 years of age, this is after all the hot 1950s great rock'n'roll hits the evidence that he still had plenty to offer.
Probably the best non-compilation LP Elvis ever recorded, this effort recorded over three days in Nashville shows a range of song styles from the simple but vibrant "Fever" just Elvis on vocals, bass guitar and bongos with finger clicking to the recorded in one take steaming blues "Reconsider Baby" with an amazing sax solo by Boots Randolph.
This LP has the addition of four tracks released as singles from the same recording session and in great stereo (many bought the original LP in mono versions) this a a real piece of gold in the Elvis legacy.
