Airfix 1/72 scale self assembly kit, BAC Strikemaster/Jet Provost Mk 5 RAF ground attack/trainer aircraft, unmade in original type 4c box with decal sheet and instructions, dating from circa 1975. The kit allows for one of two variations to be made i) Strikemaster Mk 82 in the livery of the Sultan of Oman Air Force ii) Jet Provost Mk 5 Royal Air Force "Red Pelicans" acrobatic group.

Nostalgic Airfix Omani AF Strikemaster
45yrs ago I bought and made this model after I had come back from an Active Service Tour at RAF Salalah. I had the opportunity of flying in an Omani Strikemaster, my first Jet Fighter flight. I lost the model over time. So I saw this on ebay and could not resist it. Not great plastic or molding, a little work needed on it but worth it.

Airfix BAC Strikenaster unmade kit
The box was sealed with clear tape and I have intentionally left it unopened as the box could be damaged if I remove the tape. This is an addition to my collection of aircraft models and kits and I enjoy collecting these models because I assembled aircraft kits and also had some Dinky aircraft as a child.
