Crown paint is ideal for either painting wood or metal either for outdoors (going to use it for my front door) or can be used for doors, skirting boards or wooden window sills either inside or outside the home. The paint is a renowned brand product which goes on smoothly and paint brushes can be easily cleaned afterward. Having a brand that is reliable makes it worthwhile because you'd prefer the paint to last on the surface you have just painted. It has got a good consistency once it is dipped into the paint pot, you know it is better than the cheap imitations once you begin the initial process of applying the first coat on to your chosen surface and it is a paint which is reliable. The paint goes along way as I have planned to use it on two exterior doors.

It's good paint, one of the better ones. I wouldn't rate it as excellent by any means, but it's a very good choice for the money. Touch dry is indicated by the manufacturer in 6 hours, which is nonsense. One thin layer dries in 8 hours. Nondrip is pure fantasy if you are painting vertical surfaces. Even with a weak layer, drips started to form after 20 minutes, and the painting needs to be supervised for about 20-30 minutes. After that, there is no chance to fix the painting. If you're painting horizontal surfaces that don't tip over, then that's fine. But that's about all paints if I'm not mistaken, right? It's a good paint, don't really expect a nondrip miracle. It will not take place.

This doesn't seem as smelly as solvent based paints used to be. It goes on cream-coloured, which is great because you can see exactly what you have painted and where you missed. It also helps you to get the thickness consistent. Then it turns a really brilliant white as it dries. It gives a good shine and the rain just rolls off it.

Possibly all I want from a paint. I don`t believe in saving money as I only do this job once in a blue moon. One coat looks very good on top of a white undercoat. Flows nicely, stays `open`for a reasonable length of time for retouching areas without `dragging`, and has reasonable build characteristics. Only time will tell how it retains it`s finish. Really need to comment in 3-4 years time, as I once bought some `morrisons` paint which looked great initially, and then rapidly yellowed.

This paint goes a long way, it covers well. The only problem I had was an issue with the paint fumes, I felt quite nauseous while using it. I have asked a few people if they had the same problem, only one agreed so I dont believe it is the fault of the paint fumes as much as it probably just a personal reaction to those particular fumes. Despite this I would say I am more than happy with the end product and would recommend Crown paint to family and friends
