Not suitable for close grain hardwoods
This product might well be suitable for soft woods, but it was incapable of splitting even small pieces of close grained timber like oak. When used it simply bounced off leaving little more than a dent to show for the effort. A small but sharp hand axe, on the other hand, easily splits small logs into kindling with a minimum amount of force.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
