In rare cases, a book may differ from the stated edition. Item may have slight signs of wear such as slight adhesive residue, dog-eared pages, slight yellowing, reading traces. CDs/DVDs/Vinyls may have scratches, but functionality should not be impaired.
I first came across this story when I heard an audio reading of it (over 15 1/2 hour episodes on BBC Radio). Being Dorset born and bred there was a lot of interest in the locality, as the second half of the story is concentrated in my local area. No spoilers, but trust me, this is a great story, set just before the outbreak of WWII and I was not surprised to learn recently, that there are plans afoot to make new adaptation of the book on film. Why this book isn't better known is a mystery really.
In my opinion it is a classic and a firm favourite of mine.
