Disappointing...accept no substitutes.
My decision to purchase this item was mainly for the fact that there were 3 pairs of gloves on offer for good price. I often wondered if these potato gloves could replace a peeler and whether they were time savers. I hadn't tried the gloves immediately bit decided to try them before I gave the other 2 away, which was my intention. I wanted to give one each to my Mom who recently tore her shoulder muscle and have reduced use/strength in the arm and the other to my MIL who is doing her best caring for her terminal spouse. I am glad I tried it because it's a poor product and in no way could it ever pass as a scrubber. It might only work for fresh new potatoes but nothing else. I am disappointed that it's been labelled as a vegetable peeler because I find it hard to believe that it would even peel a carrot! There is no rough surface to attempt a peeling action and at best it's probably best sold as a vegetable washing glove or glove for cleaning dirt off of freshly dug garden root vegetables . I don't like writing negative reviews about a product but if I could save some one from buying it as a peeler function, here's my review to you. Buy the original types with sandpaper type surfaces!!!
