I'm sick of nasty el-cheapo fans with bearings made from wood pulp and gravel, so decided to invest in this one hoping it would be better. It's certainly pretty solid, feels strong and well made. From what I can see the motor looks pretty decent, and it's got some beans behind it because I'm sure you could use it to drive a hovercraft over the channel.
Nice and quiet too, a benefit of a larger fan running more leisurely rather than a small one screaming it's nuts off.
It says it has "Internal Oscillation", not sure what they mean by that, the motor looks fixed, doesn't look like anything oscillates at all as far as I can see. But I'm not bothered about that really.
I've only used it for a few weeks so can't yet comment on bearing life but I see no reason not to think it'll give a long service life.
