Vent Axia 454059 Silhouette 150X Extractor Fan
I had the previous model about four years ago, but stopped working. It was fine and working normally until the internal fuse blown. The fuse was of special type suitable to mount on a printer circuit board and not marked with type/ manufacturer or rating and difficult to find. Beware - The Silhouette 150 X This product has changed in design and fitting needs .
I bought this to replace one fitted in my kitchen that had stopped working after very little use (although installed 5 yrs ago). By ordering the exact same part number I expected no issues. However, the model that arrived was not the same as the one on my wall.It had a wall mounting plate that is larger, poorly moulded (causing a curvature on each of the four outer edges) and the mounting holes had moved 10mm outward from the original. The wiring is now at the top and the inlet hole for the wiring has moved to be blocked off by plaster behind. There is no longer a neon bulb indicator. I had to redrill, refit and bugger about taking an hour for a five minute job ! Not happyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Electric backdraft Shutter - works, quiet good fan.
This fan is more expensive than a lot of others, but that's probably because it comes with an electric backdraft shutter, which is the main reason I bought it. It replaced a 20+ year old fan, with no inbuilt backdraft shutter, just and inline ducting flap type backdraft shutter, and we were getting a lot of cold drafts back into the room in high winds. This has now stopped with this fan, it's very quiet compared to our old fan, and extracts well. Very happy with it. Was £80 in Toolstation and £72 on Ebay.
