Minimal distance handset will work from base unit.
This phone appeared to be exactly what I required to replace previous defunct unit used for about ten years. The handset will not pick up a signal through one internal wall approx. twenty five feet from base unit. The small print advises that it best not use unless the signal is in a direct line. There is no mention on the box or the instructions to give even a clue to this limitation or a clue to the operating distance. In my very average house this unit is of no use. We have realised that we have missed several incoming calls due the lacking of a signal. Probably ok if using the handset in the same room as the base. Previous BT ten year old phone far superior. The signal on the BT phone would operate for at least fifty feet and through three walls. The signal strength was never an issue. THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING. WE WILL NOW NEED TO REPLACE A TWO WEEK OLD TELEPHONE. IN MY OPINION, NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
