Save your knees and hips!
Fits my 9/16 just perfectly, Looks a lot nicer in person than in photo, Shiny and solid, built to last and hold up to the elements. I've been commuting on a bicycle for three years now, always noticed how my heels were hitting the cranks and my toes were pointing outward especially on the right foot, even had some knee pain they would make a crack sound when standing up. I doubted this item would solve any issues but after I put them on they solved all my problems even saddle related problems - even my sitbones were getting compressed by improper foot to knee to hip angle. This product is giving me extremely close to perfect alignment, went with the 21 mm to start, might need a 25 for my right foot or just a 2 mm washer spacer but it feels wonderful. I also felt massive muscle stimulation in my legs, I'm going to be building up a lot of muscle because of these. Used my park tool 15 mm wrench to remove my original pedals and had to use a 19 mm wrench for the item but that's just for removal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

If you have wide feet...
If you have wide feet like I do, you know the challenges of finding shoes that fit. But put a EEEE width foot on a pedal intended for a D width foot and you find the outside of your foot hanging off the outside of the pedal. This is the solution since you cannot buy wider pedals. The first time out on my normal 8-mile sprint I knocked off 5 minutes of my usual time without even breaking a sweat. I was just feeling them out when I noticed my speed increased without any additional effort and I attribute it to the only thing that changed: the pedal extension. My legs now transfer more power to the crank since the ball of my foot is not over the center of the pedal. If you have wide feet, you know the challenges in many areas we endure but i did not expect this much gain in riding pleasure for just a few dollars. Got these for all my bikes....
This was the best price on this size of pedal extender I have found. I had gotten a set before from this seller....tried them out....and got 2 more sets for my other bikes. The name brand (look identical in fit, finish and quality) items are several dollars more. I have an arthritic knee, excess weight and very wide feet and these extenders with platform pedals allow my feet to find their most natural position and angle on the pedal. The expensive alternative is buying extra large platform pedals for $120+. There are also stainless steel versions of these extenders for $50+......what's the point? Both steel, both well machined, both very strong.....these win hands down. This seller was also fast to ship. Easy on the Knees
When I first started cycling I noticed that my wide fame just did not fit my bike. Knees would be sore and my foot positioning for the pedals would be wrong. i bought these for my two bikes and I always add them to any pedals I have for quick changing. I always use grease to screw the pedals on easily. Never had any trouble installing them and always fits. Just need to remember what the direction of the pedal wrench. They were made for installing but If you have a flush pedal (usually cheaper pedals do). Then you usually have a hard time removing the pedal from the extender. That's why if I get a new pedal I automatically get a new extender. I have never had them screw apart from the crank arm or pedal. Makes riding more comfortable!
I don't have huge feet, but I was finding that my heels had a tendency to hit/rub on my chain guard. I had unconsciously started moving my feet to be off center on the pedals to compensate. This, led to soar feet after a longer ride and it tore up the bottoms of my shoes. These extenders fixed all of that. I am able to center my feet on the pedals, my feet do not hurt (even after a long ride), and my new shoes are not being torn up.
