Worth a try
Tried this for the first time. Instructions in Polish but the pictures make it easy to understand. Make sure you wash your hands _ it is acid you are using. Once I put the treatment on and used the tape to fold over the excess plastic, I put socks on that were big enough to cover well above my ankles. I was worried the gel would seep onto my carpet but it didn't. I had to wait a couple of weeks before it started to take effect. It didn't peel as in the photos but it came off in bits. I used a foot rasper in the bath to remove most of the skin. Used a pumice stone after that and finished off with foot cream. This took about four days to remove it all. My feet look really good but I will need to repeat. I would recommend you go to a good podiatrist to take the bulk of dead skin off then definitely recommend this product as a maintenance treatment. Also I am shoe size 5 UK and there was about 1 inch of foot space left in each packet. One more thing, plan ahead! Make sure you do this treatment well before summer or if you are going out somewhere special as wearing sandals whilst sporting peeling snakeskin feet is not a good look!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not a great experience
I had high hopes for this. The process of using the product was fine. Socks are easy to use etc. But I accidentally spilled some of the liquid whilst they were on even with regular socks over the top. Followed the instructions exactly. Absolutely nothing happened to the skin on my feet for over a week so I thought that it hadn’t worked. Then they started peeling. And they didn’t stop for 3 weeks!! I was filing them, scrubbing them in the end to get rid of the peeling skin but they just kept on peeling, even between toes and on the tops and sides of my feet and they looked awful! My feet weren’t really that bad to start with just a normal amount of hard skin on my heels and toes. I can’t say I’d recommend as I couldn’t bare my feet for 3 weeks. And at the end of all that, they were no different than before I used the product. Not a great idea in my opinion, but may work for some.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Thought it would not work
I used this last Wednesday night and checked my feet every day and nothing was happening. I got to day 6 and on the morning still nothing and i just thought well this is not going to work! Then that night i was about to get a bath and i glanced at my feet and the skin was just hanging off all over! Literally like some of the photos on the internet that i once thought were probably fake! The peeling just came from no where! Theres still some tougher bits left on but it has changed colour so im going to keep soaking them everyday hoping it lifts that off and if not il repeat it in 30 days! Not as described
I have ordered a few of these type of feet masks and this is the only one that does not work. I thought, from the description, that this was one of the good ones, plastic sock with tape to tighten -these were good as were plastic and dry on the outside with all moisture on the inside. Instead I have received a small sock (which fits no bigger than a size 5/38). Absolutely amazing!!
This is a brilliant product and well worth the money. I done the 2 hours on the Sunday night and expected to see some results the next day but this does take a few days, it's Thursday now and my feet are almost completely stripped of hard dry skin. I bought two of these in case I needed a second application but my partner is going to use it now as he has seen the results. Plus I don't think I'll be needing it. Great!! No cracked this year when my flip flops came out
I like a bit of gore and when I found out this product peels your feet I was all for it! I didn't soak my feet prior to use, just gave them a quick wash in a washing up bowl where I situated myself on the sofa for a box set :) applied socks as instructed, and put on a pair of thick Wooly socks on top. Fitted my size 8 wide feet a treat - I don't think they would have fitted my partner who is a size 10. They felt nice and squelchy and I was able to flex my toes to feel the solution reach every crevice. I did have a smallblister on my toe - the instructions say not to use on broken skin but I ignored that and just got a sharp tingle every so often as I wiggled away. It says to wear for 2 hrs but I waited a little longer and took them off after 2 hrs 40 mins, rinsed them well in my washing up bowl of water and towel dried. I had expected to wait a good few days before I saw any peeling. But I had a catastrophe the next day - whilst out walking I got stuck in the mud resulting in really wet socks which I had to then walk in for an hour and a half. When I got home and washed my feet what a surprise - just 22 hrs after application, my feet were peeling like mad. My toes completely shed their skin, it was amazing just how.much skin was coming away. Over the next few days up.until about 10 days after application there was a steady flow of skin coming off from the entire.sole and heels of my feet. The feeling of seeing that skin go and peeling it away was so so satisfying. Not 100% of all hard patches went but I was still happy with result as to be honest they were pretty bad in the first place. Just ordered a.second pair as although now 3.weeks after application I think there is a little bit of improvement to be made and perhaps I will soon have baby soft feet. I recommend to others. I was sceptical of the product and paid £4.59 and free post. I have compared reviews with these and similar ones that retail at £20 and they fair about the same.. These being cheaper and and being made by a recognised pharmaceutical company get my vote!

Not worth it
Ladies (and gents) - please please avoid this product. It is A LOT more hassle than it is worth. I used this product 17 days prior to posting this and my feet have been flaking non stop with little to no benefits. My skin is still just as dry and with hard skin. It is going to take weeks for my feet to recover from this and look normal again. The peeling effects are patching and make your feet look pretty ugly with no end in sight. If you suffer from dry tough skin on your feet then I would recommend seeing chiropodist who can recommend beneficial products.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not intended for athlete's foot
This product is not intended for athletic foot how it claims to be. The main content is salicylic acid, which is used for reducing and removing the hard skin, scaly skin and other deformities of the skin which are not fungicidal origin. Of course it takes your skin from feet off and fungicidal infection too, but in a few days is your athlete's foot back. It doesn't content anti-fungal ingredients. If you need to remove hard skin(only in case you've got a thin layer of course), it should work well with nice result. But much better is simply visit your dermatologist and ask for free salicylic acid prescription. That's what I've been told by my GP when I showed him Silcatil.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Terrible and poor quality
This product doesn't even fit on your feet. I'm only a size 9. There are far more superior quality products out there for a simaler price. My feet diddnt peel after, complete waist of time and money. I brought 3 pairs of this same brand and there no good. The first time I tried the foot peel masks I brought a pair for about 2 pounds. It worked absolutely great, and thinking maybe I'll try one a little more expencive thinking it would be better quality I brought this product. Totally pants. Do not buy. Wish I brought 3 pairs of the cheap ones there far more superior. See pics. Don't even fit.
