Bolt Size and Thread gauge
Gauge is all injection molded plastic so wear is to be expected against metal bolts. Used for most common US and Metric sizes Legends are positive projections from the tool surface with no shading which makes it hard to read. Bolt size functions use both holes and rods projected from the ends and work very nicely. Thread pitch indicators are very hard to measure, no instructions so it was assumed that the user must feel the fit of the bolt to the thread extrusion mounds. The markings for pitch are not clear as to which count goes with which mound. Having "thread standard" bolts handy allows the user to compare the known threads with an unknown sample. The edges where the threads are molded are likely to wear quickly as the user drags bolts over them to see if they "lock in" to select the pitch. The gauge is a clever idea that pretty much works and should have been easy to use.accurately.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wish it had threaded holes and studs
I was really looking for a metal gauge that had threaded holes and studs, to distinguish NC from NF and their metric equivalents. This gauge is easy to use for nuts, but harder for machine screws, requiring matching thread samples.
