Oldskool, Royal Mews, Dazzling Laundry, Synthetic Aquamarine, Magic!
Oldskool 19th Cent product that still works well, but is hard to find on the High Street in the 21st Cent.
These tablets need wrapping in a bit of muslin {they used to come like this years ago} to make swirling the ''blue'' in your rinse water easy.
It is ''Trial and error'' to get the correct solution of ''blue'' in the rinse water..and add the blue BEFORE adding clothes/sheets/towels.
It has also been used to give a ''blue rinse'' to Grey horse's tail/coat before a Show or some Royal event.
Swish the 'Blue' in the bucket, and carefully dip your Horses' tail...but make the water tepid, or he/she might blench.
If too much 'Blue' is added, it does wash out.
I have experimented putting it in the washing machine, scraping off a bit of the block and putting it in the 'conditioner' drawer, but it left a streak of Aquamarine in the tray...but did make for brighter sheets.
It needs storing in a little jar {no lid} after use as it will stain the surfaces when wet.
I will try to make a solution up to add to the rinse tray of washing machine, and there won't be any 'grit' that way.
It is also said these are used in Jamaican Rituals to make ''Blue Water''.. In fact, the last block I bought specified Jamaican Magic in the listing...But I haven't used it for that.
