i7 low power chip
Last generation to have Win 7 support, although some 7th gen also do - but this one has native support. It is powerful for being low power, also you can change the stepping and multiplier, if your board allows it. Mine does, but I see no reason to overvolt a low power chip. Plays well with all my peripherals, two SSDs, one 8TB spinner HD, DVD/RW. Everything about this chip is about saving power, and that's an awesome chip for any build. I'm using it in a mixed media/gaming rig and it plays everything I threw at it. These chips aren't cheap, but you will save in six months over the cost of a regular chip, to say nothing of the K series. I also own an i7 3700t and it works absolutely flawlessly, just wanted to hang some faster memory and see how it does. Because these chips stay cool even under full load, they last a lot longer. The day when AMD can create a low power chip, I'd like to try it. The Ryzen 3 1300 I tried was slower and clunkier than the 945D dual core chip I used 11 years ago.
