Some issues
This radio does have good sound quality, however, there are a number of issues that may be relevant before choosing this product. I now have 2 of these radios, and the issues are the same on both.
The general build quality is OK, rather lightweight with cheap feeling buttons that do not have a positive action. The digital display is breaking up a bit, leaving a horizontal line across the middle.
Only some of the radio stations can be stored, and despite the option being shown in the manual and on the screen, it is not actually possible to change the date from American to UK format (ie to have day/month/year).
I wouldn't want to pay full retail price because of these issues, but at a big discount, it makes a good radio for a kitchen or workshop etc. For much better quality, take a look at the VQ Hepburn - same excellent sound quality but without the glitches and a much better build quality. The only thing missing from the Hepburn is a remote (though you can use an app on your phone with the Hepburn Mk 1, but not the Mk 2).
