I got gas!!!
My wooden barhroom cabinet door swings onto the glass panel of the shower. Remedied this with this little gas strut. Relatively straightforward to fix in place but pay close attention to the measurements so u get it right 1st time. My cabinet door is quite small. 50N force to close is certainly as much as you would ever need. Obviously larger doors wil have more of a lever action on the gas strut and so 50N force will be easily overcome. The manufacturing of the item seems good, the outside of it is attractively finished and the metal components look like they will last. There has to be a certain "play" in the mechanism where the joints clip into the strut (and there is). The little slack there is is not problematic but does cause my small door to give a little rattle as it comes to 100% open. All in all, for the measly price of a couple of quid whats not to like.... These have sorted my problem and I would recommend these to anyone who has issues with a cabinet door going too far past 90°... (forgot to mention... these can be lightly adjusted to allow for movement of either slightly less than 90 or slightly more than 90° movement if desired). U wont be dissappointed!
