Takes immediate effect on my Schnauzer's skin problem. I would highly recommend the product. The one drawback is that, for my dogs, I have to reapply the shampoo more frequently than normal bathing, and I worry that I will excessively dry out their skin. Atopic Dermatitis Control
This shampoo was used on my pitbull with severe Atopic Dermatitis. It has helped tremendously with itching as well as the healing of open wounds in my dog. Yes he still scratches at times, but it has relieved much of it so he isnt being tortured by the itching. Along with a healthy diet of boiled chicken, brown rice and some veggies, I have noticed the biggest difference with this shampoo. I just dont understand why my vet never recommended it. If Your dog suffers from itching, open wounds from atopic dermatitis, I HIGHLY recommend. withing a week or two, my dog started to heal. My dog was an extreme case, so I used it everyday or every other day. If your dog is indoors, I think it would really help. I cannot keep my dog inside, but yet I have seen Amazing improvement. I do not know the exact cause of my dog's dermatitis, so of course this is only a treatment. I feel that if I stop using the shampoo, he would revert back to the severe dermatitis. Currently I bathe my dog with this shampoo every other day. its GREAT. You dont have to feel Lost! or spend thousands treating your dog. The vets know there is no cure for this. MY friend's dog, also a pit, has dermatitis as well, but not as severe. We live in AZ so maybe this has something to do with it. I cannot be certain. Anyway, my friend gave me some of his shampoo, which his vet recommended him. I go to banfield. He does not., he goes to a privately owned vet, not commercial. They charged him $40 for the shampoo and only $12 oz. of it. I got 16 oz for $25. LOVE THE SHAMPOO. Its amazing. Get it, you will not regret it! Relieve scratching
Why a good rating? Our vet whose specialty is helping dogs that have skin problems recommended that we use this product when wash our dog. However, instead of leaving it on our dog for 10 minutes, we leave it on for 15 minutes. It stops her scratching for a few days. Only wish it did it for longer time.
