Great Cycle Carrier
Upside: Compared with what is available from a big name high street bicycle retailer this Bicycle Carrier is the business. There are far cheaper carriers about, but as the old adage goes you really do get what you pay for. This Carrier do not just support the bicycle by hanging it from a rail, it supports the bike by sitting in a very support platform/channel that holds the wheels in place and then secures them to that channel with heavy duty plastic anchor straps. The Bike/s are also supported and secured from the top by a grab arm and a heavy webbing strap that encompasses the bike(s) and locks them back into the carrier. This is a sturdy piece of kit that will I have no doubts last many, many years. I was informed by the above mention, and, not named big name high street bicycle retailer that, if I wanted to carry an E-Bike or two on my Car (Skoda Yeti) I would need to purchase a tow bar mounted carrier at around £270, plus the other £600 odd pounds to have a tow bar fitted along with the electrics and trailer board. The manufacturers of the 'Peruzzo Pure Instinct 2' claim that you can carry two E-Bikes on this carrier, provided the combined weight does not exceed 45 Kilogrammes, my E-Bike and my wife's old steel framed town cycle jointly weigh 39 Kilos. No she does not want an E-Bike I have asked her many times :-) Slight Downside: You will need a degree in Gobble-de-gook to understand the manual on the first 2 or 3 readings, all the info is in there, it just is not very intuitive, but, stick with it and you will get there, and I promise you it will be worth it.
