Product Information

Polycraft RTV Silicone Mould Making Rubber is durable and can easily be mixed by hand. This 1.1 kg rubber mould making kit consists of two components which mix easily and will not require the use of a vacuum chamber, due to low viscosity. The products have a mix ratio of 10:1 and the liquid rubber can be worked for up to an hour before setting.

Easy-to-use product with great results
I use this mould making rubber to make moulds for resin jewellery making. I've tried a different brand which I thought might be better but it absolutely wasn't. This rubber is really easy to weigh, mix and use. You have plenty of time to pour it and the fluidity ensures every little gap is filled. A few taps releases any bubbles. Eventually, with constant pouring of resin, moulds do deteriorate, but I haven't got to that point yet with any of mine. I keep this product permanently on my "Watch List" so I can re-order it quickly.

Excellent silicone rubber for general mould making.
Best silicone rubber I have used. Fast curing but not so fast that air bubbles remain trapped. Coloured catalyst makes it very easy to see whether it is thoroughly mixed before you pour. The rubber has enough flexibility to handle modest undercuts in the model without any problem. This is a great rubber for general mould making for materials such as plaster of paris, epoxy, Jesmonite and even polyester resin, though it generally won't last as long with polyester.

My son and I made our first ever moulds using this kit and they're great. Easy to use, easy to clean up afterwards and great fun. I've made lots of candles from my mould and my son has made a skateboarding wax mould. Great product.

Very easy to mix
This RTV Silicon is very easy to mix. Plenty work time and the colour pink gives you the indicator of the right mix. Easy application to the mould. I also bought Thixo. This is great for thickening up your 3rd or 4th layer. Each layer you can leave to set before applying the next with no laminated the layers

Mix thoroughly!
I cant stress that enough! Like most rubber and latex compounds, it needs to to be mixed thoroughly, and with the time it takes to set you can spend a few minutes mixing it to get it thoroughly mixed to get it to set correctly to create a wonderfully pliable mold thats easy to de-mold.

Great silicone
Silicone makes really durable high detail moulds, had to mould a coconut shell and it picked out all the tiny details. The cast i then got from it was excellent. Have bought from again and will continue to do so!!

Polycraft Perfect
Having tried a few, I have settled with Polycraft. They have 35 years experience and their products are.... perfect for my mold making. I love the detail that's left behind after the mold has set.
