  • Very well made.

I was looking for a decent bench drill for a while. This one was made in Germany, and posted from there. Its extremely solid, made almost completely from stainless steel and cast Iron. The only flimsy bit was the bit guard which is plastic. The hinge had snapped off in transit but was an easy 2 minute glue repair job. Speed change is via a belt drive on concentric rollers, contained under a hinged top cover. Easy to select any one of the 5 or 6 six ratios within. I have trialled the unit with offcuts, and it has the power to easily put a 13mm carbide dtill through solid steel at the low 630rpm setting. All in all, very pleased with this, and it feels built to last. I would imagine changing out the belt every few years would be the only maintainance outside of oiling moving parts. The drill head is a chuck affair, and is easily replaced as it just pushes on to the shaft.

  • ideal for a small workshop

good little machine light in weight little bit noisy but I only use it for a few minuets at a time, self adhesive label for angle of table is not to be trusted as it was in the wrong position to start with, but as long as you check the angle by other means everything ok.

  • Noisy running drill press

Excellent value for the money, one complaint is regards the motor. Very noisy for such a small item, my old drill press (about 25 years old) was perfectly silent. This one sounds very tinny and rough. Have to accept a few drawbacks at this price.
