great value and quality - one of the best ones I've seen
But one small design flaw, resulting in air bubbles coming into the overflow and loss of suction when the return pump goes out. This is because either 1. the black baffle on the tank overflow side is lower than the clear baffle on the bulkhead side, or 2. the volume sitting between the overflow side baffle is much smaller than the drain baffle. Anyways, it's not a problem if you run the airline into a working pump (will get rid of the air when the power goes back on), but it's a minor design flaw that can probably be easily fixed by increasing the volume on the tank overflow side. The other option is those u-tube ones, but air bubbles can easily get inside the tube without the airline outflow into a pump, so this is a much better option. Works but had to fix it
All 3 leveling screw supports came unglued from the overflow. The bottom or back leveling screw is way too close the bulkhead and the screw head is too large because it rubs against the acrylic at the bottom of the overflow. I had to make the diameter of the screw head smaller. I re glued all 3 screw supports back on and repositioned them to function better. The intake grill was also cracked in several places so I glued the cracks to prevent further damage. It is working now but you shouldn't have to fix a brand new product. worth the risk

It's good but watch it
It's great if you dont mind having to check it a few times a day to make sure it doesn't lose its vacuum and stop working and overflow 15 gallons of water on the floor. It I do like it just have to get a aqua lifter pump for it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

If you want soggy floors, get this!
Set up this overflow on my new tank, and thankfully simulated a power failure while standing by. The overflow stopped and failed to restart and water spilled over the top. Needs improvement but does the job.
The plastic is very,very thin on the front(intake side) The plastic screws package became wedged inside during shipment and was a real challenge to get out. It does work well with a little priming pump but it is noisy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good overflow for the money
As high quality as anything out there. I am running at 650 gph with no issues (55 gallon reef). I use a Tom Aqualifter pump to maintain siphon, and built a pvc Durso standpipe for outlet to sump. Runs completely silent! This is the best box for your money!
