A challenging build without being too difficult, multiple options on final build appearance.
I loved this model, I wouldn't say it was particularly challenging but was difficult and time-consuming enough for me to be satisfied with it. It was tough to paint some of the smaller pieces but that's not a problem with the model itself. The colour guide might have been clearer, it wasn't obvious to me what pieces I should paint what colour, though I suppose it's up to the modeller to decide how intricate they want to make it. The large number of stickers/decals means that it wouldn't look terrible even without paint. I liked that there are so many options with this model too, the X-wings open and close when the model is finished, you can place it on a display stand, with our without the Death Star landscape, give it an 'in-flight' look or give it landing gear, or even swap these around after completion. You can also choose whether to make this a generic X-Wing or Luke's Red 5 ship.
