Ultramarine 660. Doubling as a mixing palette, this convenient pocket-sized set features a selection of 12 bright, vibrant tones & includes an ergonomically designed travel brush complete with its own water reservoir.
Usual Winsor & Newton high quality and great value.
I wanted a light, compact watercolour set for urban and landscape sketching that I could take with me for day walks. The brush that comes with this set is excellent. I have personalised the palette since purchase, but the colours that are included are perfectly good to get started with. The set is light, compact and ideal for travel. There is a similar set with a traditional brush that is much cheaper. But I paid the extra just for the water brush and I'm glad I did as it's nice to have when I want to go super light. Although I have other water brushes, I feel this one is the better and I wish I could get them separately in a variety of thickness. The quality of the Cotman paints are excellent and consistently so. I have since replaced some of the pans for alternative colours from the professional range but I am hard pressed to tell the difference with some of them. My photo shows a sketch I did with the set soon after I got it.
I love this, perfect for taking on walks, picnic, holiday.
Wasn't sure about the paintbrush that holds water, but, that's GREAT lol
Only thing, with me, I drop/knock things so they all fell out few times. Bet painters have a trick to prevent this. I'm starting at age 48 after not using paints since school
