Great replacement for my dead Philips MZ-8
This Technics was bought to replace my newer Phillips compact system that died. I needed a CD autochanger, and had a Technics 5-disc unit which works really well with this system. The fact that one tape drive is dumb (no audio output) is of no consequence as I don't have any tapes to play. This sounds really good with the Philips speakers. Good purchase.
