Olaf School Fly Rod
I grew up using Eagle Claw fishing tackle. As time moved on I got caught up in the graphite tackle. Recently after reading reviews on the Eagle Claw Featherlite #4 Fiberglas rod I decide to purchase one to pursue panfish. I mated with #4 reel and line and it casts like a dream. Nice Little fly rod
Its not an exspensive rod but it works great for smaller trout and panfish. Probably could handle some bass if played properly. Nice build quality with rosewood/brass reel seat. Bit disappointed that it's not made in America. Couldn't see label on picture to say Made in China nevertheless it's a good quality rod. Still got my rid from 1997 that was made in America. Nicely finished and well balanced!
This is my third EC fly rod. I have an old 6-1/2 foot for small water, a 7’ 5/6WT which is fantastic, and this new one 7’ 4WT which looks great but I haven’t put it on the water yet. Everything about it looks and feels perfect, I will string it up soon and test it, but it’s very nicely finished and feels very balanced. Still a good rod for the money

7 foot 5 wt came and it was marked 4wt!!
Big disappointment initially as I ordered a 5 weight rod. I put a reel on it with 5weight line and It casts great. I’ve been fly fishing for 55 years and enjoy fishing bamboo fly rods but wanted an inexpensive rod for 10 to 16 year old grandsons and friends that haven’t fly fished before. This fits the bill.
