I work at a vet clinic so of course I want good products - millers forge is one of the best, if not the best, brands. My dogs at home are normally very fussy when I cut there nails. One of them was sitting, and I sat behind him/ cut his nails where he didn't notice the clippers and he didn't even budge. Simply horrible pet nail clippers
I was really excited about these. Fantastic reviews with only a few minor complaints about the depth guide. My cats are very compliant and comfortable about their pedicures. First cut, low to remove only the sharp tip, nail split. Strange. Maybe the nail was caught in carpeting or the scratching post. Used an Emory board to clean it up. Cat is getting jumpy, cat treat to keep him calm. Second nail tip, split. Emory Board, cat treat, done for the day so it doesn’t become a behavior issue in the future. I looked at the bevel on the clippers, matching gouges on both blades. If I had gone to the whole nail it would have split up to the quick. Total trash and not what a pet parent wants to put their fur ball through. No one would accept this as a tool; much less a pet care product. Millers forge nail clippers
I am a professional groomer, and Ive used tons of nail trimmers. These cut nails like a hot knife through butter. They look, and feel a bit cumbersome, but do not let that fool you. They are very high quality, and very very sharp. They even handle very large dog nail with ease. I was a amazed at how well they cut. After using them for a week I went back to my old ones, and after one cut I said to myself, " I dunno how I used these other trimmers for so long ". I will definitely purchase another set after these go dull, but I don't believe that will be soon. The only think I would recommend is a larger handle. Safely clip your pets nails
All of us hesitate to do this job, but with this product, it's relatively easy. The only 'problem', is the pet. The clippers are professional grade, have a safety 'catch', and are easy to use. Saves the time & hassle of taking our cat or dog to the pet shop or vet. I did it first try in only a couple minutes. Hug yours pet firmly (if small enough), and clip her or him. There. It's over. The blade is sharp, cuts better than any other I've owned, however, the "stop" is loose and there's no way to tighten it. Not a screw, and can't grip it with plyers to tighten it, either.
